Treesje
Treesje, the California-based company began when designers Laura Darrah and Sheila Nazarian met as bridesmaids for a mutual best friend's wedding. Creative designers right from the start, the two were inspired to capture femininity and originality in every piece created.
Both Nazarian and Darrah attended the University of San Diego while studying business and fine arts respectively. Darrah went on to earn a Masters Degree in business and from there began traveling the world. With accessory design in mind, she was influenced by art, culture and the unique palette adopted from the different countries she visited.
Meanwhile, Nazarian had begun a successful career in fashion as a buyer for a Los Angeles based retail store. As a teen, Sheila had traveled to France regularly to assist her mother design for several French companies. Immersed in European fashion from an early age, she acquired a sincere appreciation for fashion forward design. Inevitably, she was destined to design a line of her own.
Poised for collaboration, the two launched Treesje's first collection in January of 2005. Their use of luxurious leathers, hardware and sophisticated color sense make their accessories must-haves. Together the two combine their different influences to design unique and incredibly detailed accessories, while maintaining functionability in every collection.
No doubt previous customers will become returning fans and Treesje's bold product will be showing up in the flashbulbs of paparazzi on both coasts. Celebrity customers include Kate Winslet, Sarah Jessica Parker, Drew Barrymore, Courtney Cox, Kristen Bell, Katie Holmes, Brittany Murphy and many others.
