The house of Fendi opened in 1925 when a young married couple, Edoardo and Adele Fendi, established a handbag shop and fur workshop in Via del Plebiscito, Rome. They won immediate acclaim for the quality of their products and an empire was quickly born.

Guided by the vision of the founders, their five daughters, and later the legendary Karl Lagerfeld, the inverted "double F" logo has become an iconic symbol of status known worldwide. And among the most recognizable of their creations: Fendi handbags.

The Fendi Baguette, a little bag designed to be carried under the arm -- just like bread of the same name ? has been interpreted into over 600 unique styles. Years after its introduction it remains an essential accessory for fashion conscious women and is a sought-after collector's item. Other handbags to follow the success of the Baguette include the Fendi Spy and the B Fendi.
